So, it was my first week working with my clearly crazy client and she was telling me how she hears voices all the time. Especially when she puts her head on her pillow. Then she wanted me to put my head on her pillow to see if I heard them to. I said I would take her word for it.
Well, I was trying to discuss with her symptom tracking. I asked if she could make a note of the symptoms she had seen or heard today. She said "Sure, hang on real fast. (she then laid down on her pillow and got up.) The voices say my penis hurts! HA HA! Aren't they funny? I wonder if lunch is ready."
Seriously? What do you do with that one? I decided to encourage her to write what the voices say down and track her symptoms for a med review! I then discussed with her the importance of making sure she takes her medication 100% of the time.
