Today I went to pick up my client and she opened the door wearing a HUGE winter coat that went past her knees and a helmet on her head. (Of course I am laughing loudly in my head but cant do that out loud) So, I say..."Hmm, Whats with the helmet today?"
She said "They are out to get me!!! They want to push me down in the snow and hit my head on the ice! But I am a step ahead! (insert evil laugh here)" I know they've been watching me!!!! They wont get me though!"
My response "Well...ok then, shall we go?"
So I took her to the store to work on her budgeting skills. In the process of driving I said "So, tell me more about the people who want to push you down?"
She said "You know the people, the people who watch me, THE PEOPLE!"
I said "Well, is it possible that "the people" are the thoughts of paranoia you have?"
She said "Well, maybe... I guess I should use my coping skills...That would help, but I'm keeping the helmet!"
